چکیده
Objective: Intracranial atherosclerosis disease (ICAD) is one of the most common causes acute ischemic stroke. In endovascular treatment (EVT) for large vessel occlusion stroke-related ICAD, reocclusion recanalized artery due to in situ thrombosis problematic. this study, safety and efficacy prasugrel administration avoid emergent EVT ICAD was investigated.

Endovascular Treatment of Symptomatic Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease
Symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) is responsible for approximately 10% of all ischemic strokes in the United States. The risk of recurrent stroke may be as high as 35% in patient with critical stenosis >70% in diameter narrowing. Recent advances in medical and endovascular therapy have placed ICAD at the forefront of clinical stroke research to optimize the best medical an...

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the safety of low-dose aspirin plus clopidogrel versus high-dose aspirin plus clopidogrel in prevention of vascular risk within 90 days of duration of dual antiplatelet therapy in patients treated with intracranial endovascular treatment. METHODS From January 2012 to December 2013, this prospective and observational study enrolled 370 patients with symptomatic intracran...
متن کاملEmerging endovascular therapies for symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease.
Over the past 2 decades there has been an exponential growth in the scope of disease processes amenable to neuroendovascular treatment. The number and sophistication of the available devices and correspondingly the number of patients undergoing treatment has expanded accordingly. The development and implementation of these new procedures has in some cases outpaced our ability to carefully asses...
متن کاملEffect of Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease on Endovascular Treatment for Patients with Acute Vertebrobasilar Occlusion.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Although intracranial atherosclerotic disease is often encountered during endovascular treatment for acute vertebrobasilar occlusions, its clinical implication is not well-known. We aimed to evaluate whether intracranial atherosclerotic disease influences the clinical outcomes following endovascular treatment of acute vertebrobasilar occlusive stroke. MATERIALS AND METH...
متن کاملIntracranial atherosclerotic disease: epidemiology, imaging and treatment.
Intracranial atherosclerosis accounts for 5 to 10% of all strokes. The natural history is poor, especially among patients with a greater than 70% stenosis. Studies of medical therapy have shown no benefit to warfarin over aspirin in these patients. In fact, patients with a greater than 70% stenosis who present with a stroke in the territory at risk have a 25% risk of stroke in the subsequent 24...
